Submitting a Peer Review from Another Module

If you have RL6 Risk, Feedback, Risk Register, RootCause or Claims, you can initiate a peer review from an existing file. The new Peer Review file will be populated with patient demographic data and the original file will be linked to the new Peer Review file.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'Send to Another Module' function enabled for your role.

To submit a peer review from another module:

1. With the Risk, Feedback, RiskRegister, RootCause or Claims file open, click More Actions > Send to Another Module. The Select Destination Module dialog is displayed.
2. In the Destination field, choose Peer Review. (File Type, ProviderIn RL6:PeerReview, this term refers to any user who is being reviewed in a Peer Review investigation., Committee and Reason fields appear.)
3. From the File Type drop-down, choose the file type (e.g. Standard, Nursing, M&M, EventA patient or employee related occurrence which is recorded in paper or electronic format. Once recorded, an event file is reviewed by a file manager who may involve other individuals (e.g. using tasks and follow-ups features) to help investigate and resolve the event.).
4. Note: You may see different options if your organization has disabled, added or modified file types.
4. (Optional) In the Provider field, enter the first or last name of the provider involved in a review.
5. Note: The system will search for users matching your entry. Provider must have a user account.
5. In the Committee field, choose the committee.
6. In the Reason field, enter a reason for the peer review.
7. Click OK. The Send Data to Peer Review dialog opens to display the new peer review file number that has been created.
8. Click Send and then click OK in the confirmation message.

   Note: You can also click the link in the confirmation message to open the file.

   The new peer review file has been created and patient and provider will be entered if specified during the Send To process.
